Group Walks
Onboarding
All dogs start with group onboarding to build trust with our team and be gradually introduced to group walks in a safe, supportive environment.
Group Walk Size
All groups are supported by a dedicated team member for every 3–4 dogs, ensuring each dog receives individualized attention, guidance, and care.
Locations
This isn’t just another group walk, it’s an adventure! Our groups adventure to new and familiar places on each outing that range from the beaches to the trails of the Peninsula.
Private Dog Walks and Adventures
Dog Walk vs. Dog Adventure
Dog walks are neighborhood-based and require no transportation. Adventures include home pick-up and drop off and travel to a beach, park or trail.
Certified Team
Our team members complete extensive training, including pet first aid certification and hands-on mentorship from experienced senior staff.
Complimentary Meet and Greets
We offer complimentary meet and greets so you can meet our team before your booked service, giving you peace of mind and confidence in your dog’s care.
Off-Leash Protocol
Monterey Dog offers off-leash privileges during select walks and adventures.
Because off-leash freedom relies on trust and clear communication, dogs must meet specific criteria before approval.
Trust Building
Every dog begins by building a strong relationship with their designated team member. We reinforce safe spaces, clear cues, and calm communication through structured walks and basic cue work.
Long Lines for Recall
Dogs practice recall on long lines in safe environments. We gradually increase distractions to assess reliability, responsiveness, and comfort at each stage.
Relationships Matter
Only dogs who demonstrate consistent recall and engagement may be approved for off-leash services—provided by their designated team member.
